ACCU - Take a Stand Against Cancer
The incidence of cancer is growing quickly among Aboriginal Peoples. Spirit Creative created a proactive, aggressive campaign for the Aboriginal Cancer Care Unit (ACCU) to promote awareness and deliver culturally appropriate cancer related information to Aboriginal audiences. The long-term objective was to increase knowledge and awareness of cancer prevention and early detection among First Nations peoples.
Strategy

The strategy was delivered with an approach to coax and persuade Aboriginal peoples to take part in the fight against cancer and became involved in the cause as soon as possible – for now and for future generations.

Solution

To achieve buy-in – and involve the audience – sensitive and appealing imagery, accompanied by a compelling headline with strong call to action, was utilized to convey the message of immediacy and importance in the fight against cancer in First Nations peoples. Graphically the somewhat emotional visual of a child’s feet standing in front of a pair of adult feet gives the idea of knowledge transfer, and nurturing between the older and younger generations.
